These programs constitute the basis of the scanning, modelling and designing process required to create as an end result workable copings, bridges and abutments utilised by dental technicians and dentists. The SDS process also includes the preparation of dies which are prepared before the scanning phase. The diagram below shows a simplified view of the SDS process from start to end:
